WHITEWATER REGISTER - John L. Glenn, Whitewater State University assistant professor of foreign languages and a stage veteran, has the title role in the Summer Tent Theatre's final production of the season, Archibald MacLeish's "J.B.'

Directed by Dr. Fannie Frazier Hicklin, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of 1959 began Tuesday, July 22 and will continue through Saturday, July 26, at 8:30 p.m.  Technical direction is by Gene A. Wilson, costuming by Dr. Lorraine Gross.  Jane Ilgen, 3545 Heather Circle, Madison, is student director.

The cast will include Beverly Ferguson, 2804 Dakota Dr., Janesville, as J.B.'s wife.  David Fox, Addison, Ill, as Mr. Zeus (God); Kenneth Williams, Beloit, as Nickles (Satan); James Hill, Genoa City, a cleric; William Archer, 7932 45 Ave., Kenosha, a psychiatrist, and Paul Breitsprecher, Fort Atkinson, a member of the WSU library faculty, a proletarian.

The six Breitsprecher children - Mary, Susy, Tom, Billy, Nancy Beth, and Katy - also have roles in the play - and Eric Chamnes, 7, Whitewater, is one of J.B.'s children.  Stuart Brooks, 1712 Summit Ave., Madison and Russell Whitacre, 844 S Eighth Ave., LaGrange, Ill, have multiple roles as soldiers, reporters, police officers, and civil defense personnel.

Others in the cast are Louis Costanzo and Vicki Chermak, Whitewater; Douglas Long, Mendota, Ill., Marvin Thomas, Mary Schroeder, Elaine Stephens, and Pam McDaniel, Milwaukee; Lynette Rasmussen, East Troy, Sarah Bachhuber, Menasha, and Barbara Wrede, Johnson Creek.

All seats for the show should be reserved by phoning 472-1750 from noon until 8 p.m. daily during the run of the show.
