Galewood Yard

This is Galewood Yard, an old color photo from the Farm Security Administration -- Office of War. The Milwaukee Road line from Chicago to Elgin ran through the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. While dad's favorite railroad is the Chicago and Northwestern, the operations of the Milwaukee at Galewood were an important part of this neighborhood.
