

America's
oldest railroad is the Baltimore and Ohio. Pacific 3509 with the
Wheeling local is entering Chicago.

Chicago
is a city of bridges, the one over Chicago River in in the
"Loop." Two trains are visible traveling on tracks running
parallel to the river. On the left the steel frame for the new Chicago
Daily News building, located at 400 West Madison Street, is visible.
To the right is more construction -- Chicago is growing.

Chicago
and Eastern Illinois did not own many atlantics -- number 214 takes a
breather and posses for a photo.

Locomotive
412, an Indiana Harbor Belt "Mike," posses at a Chicago and
Northwestern yard between transfer runs. The IHB was owned by new
Your Central and connected with ALL the Chicago railroads.

Baltic
(Hudson on other roads) 6410 is departing Chicago. This is the
sister engine of the MILW locomotive that ran the 85 miles between
Chicago and Milwaukee in 67 minutes -- setting a world speed record for
steam.
